Zakeke alternative: product customizer or 3D and AR viewer?
Zakeke is first and foremost a product customizer and configurator (2D, 3D, virtual try-on), billed by subscription and, except on the Enterprise plan, by a fee on each customized product sold. If you only want to show your products in 3D and augmented reality, Visuality offers a fixed monthly subscription with AI model generation.
What is Zakeke?
Zakeke is a platform published by Futurenext S.r.l., whose registered office is in Foggia, Italy; its website also lists an address in Milan. Its pricing page presents five tools in a single subscription: a visual product customizer, a 3D configurator, a 3D and AR viewer with 3D asset management (3D DAM), virtual try-on and an AI agent studio.
On the Shopify App Store, the "Zakeke ‑ Customizer 2D & 3D" app describes itself as an all-in-one product customizer and configurator: real-time preview, print-ready files for printing or engraving, and connections to print-on-demand services. It is available in 23 languages, including French.
Zakeke says it works with the main e-commerce platforms and names Shopify, WooCommerce and Etsy in particular.

When should you choose Zakeke over Visuality?
- You sell customizable products (engraving, printing, embroidery) and need a print-ready file for each order.
- Your products are configured with rules (options, compatibility) and customers need to see their configuration in 3D before buying.
- You want to offer virtual try-on in your store.
- You work with a print-on-demand service connected to Zakeke.
- You sell on WooCommerce or Etsy, platforms named by Zakeke, and want a dedicated integration rather than an iframe.
When is Visuality a better fit than Zakeke?
Visuality is a French SaaS platform, published by Inside Learning, that lets businesses display their products in 3D and augmented reality on iPhone and Android, with no app to install, via a link, a QR code, an iframe embed or the Shopify and PrestaShop integrations.
- Your products aren't customizable: you simply want to show them in 3D and let customers place them at home in augmented reality.
- You prefer a fixed monthly price, with no fees and unlimited views. Note that at Zakeke, the fee only applies to customized products sold.
- You are starting without a 3D model: AI generation creates the model from a product photo.
- Your models are also used outside the store: printed QR codes, trade shows, sales meetings with the offline Android app, iframe embeds on another website.
- Your store runs on PrestaShop: Visuality offers a dedicated module, in addition to the Shopify app.
Visuality does offer color or option variants prepared in advance, animations and object groups: enough to present a product range, without going as far as customer personalization. Product customization in augmented reality
How do you switch from Zakeke to Visuality?
If you only use Zakeke to display your products in 3D, retrieve your original 3D files and upload them to Visuality as GLB or USD/USDZ; the USDZ for iPhone is generated automatically. Personalization areas, configuration rules and virtual try-on have no equivalent in Visuality: keep Zakeke for the products that need them.
