Visuality Shopify app: 3D viewer and augmented reality for your product pages

Visuality is a Shopify app, launched on the Shopify App Store in May 2026, that displays your 3D models on your product pages through a theme block added without code. Shoppers rotate and zoom the product, then place it in their own space in augmented reality from their smartphone or via a QR code. Shopify bills the subscription.

What does the Visuality Shopify app do?

The app connects your Shopify store to your Visuality 3D object library. You link a 3D model to each product, then a theme block displays it on the product page, without changing your theme code.

  • 3D viewer on the product page: shoppers rotate, zoom and pan the model to examine the product from every angle.
  • Augmented reality on mobile: from their smartphone, shoppers place the product in their room at real scale, with no app to install.
  • QR code for desktop visitors: a single scan with their phone takes them from the product page to augmented reality.
  • Three display modes per product: 3D viewer only, QR code only, or both (the viewer with the QR code below it).
  • One block for the whole catalog: the “Visuality 3D Viewer” block appears automatically on every product that has a linked 3D object.
  • Billing through Shopify: the subscription appears on your Shopify invoice and your Visuality account is activated automatically.

How does augmented reality work on iPhone and Android?

On iPhone and iPad, augmented reality opens in AR Quick Look, Apple's viewer built into iOS. Visuality automatically generates the required USDZ file on its servers from your GLB: the scale is baked into the file and very heavy models are lightened so they stay smooth. On Android, augmented reality runs through Google Scene Viewer or WebXR.

How do you install the Visuality Shopify app?

Installation takes a few minutes and requires no code. Here are the steps as they appear in the app:

  1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store, then grant access to your products: this is what lets you link your 3D objects to your product pages.
  2. Choose your plan (Bronze, Silver or Gold) in the app. Shopify handles payment and your Visuality account is created automatically, with no API key to enter.
  3. Add your 3D objects: on the app's Settings page, the “Open my workspace” button signs you in to visuality.fr in one click. Upload your GLB or USDZ files, or generate a model from a photo with AI.
  4. Link each object to a product: in the app's Products tab, select a product, choose the 3D object and the display mode (3D Viewer, QR Code or Both), then save.
  5. Add the block to your theme: in Shopify, open Online Store > Themes > Customize, switch to the Products > Default product template, click “Add block” and choose “Visuality 3D Viewer” under Apps. Position the block, then click Save.
  6. Test on a phone: open a product page on an iPhone and on an Android smartphone, launch augmented reality and check the size of the object in the room.

The block only appears on products linked to a 3D object, so you only need to add it once to the product page template, with no effect on your other product pages.

Don't have a 3D model yet?

You don't need a 3D studio to get started. Visuality offers three options depending on your budget and the level of detail you need:

  • AI generation from a photo: upload a photo of the product and the AI creates a textured 3D model within minutes. Every plan includes a monthly AI conversion quota, and additional AI credit packs are available. Guide to AI 3D generation
  • Scanning with your smartphone: a photogrammetry app such as RealityScan creates a model from a series of photos of the product. 3D scanning guide with RealityScan
  • Custom modeling: for a faithful, detailed result, our team creates your 3D models on quote. Request a quote

Already working with a 3D artist? Ask for a GLB export, the standard format for 3D on the web: Visuality then takes care of the USDZ version for iPhone.

How much does the Visuality Shopify app cost?

The app runs on a monthly Visuality subscription, billed by Shopify in US dollars every 30 days. Every plan includes the same features and unlimited views: plans differ in the number of 3D objects and the monthly AI conversion quota.

Visuality Shopify app plans, billed by Shopify (monthly prices in US dollars)

Visuality app or Shopify's native 3D: which should you choose?

Shopify natively accepts 3D models in GLB or USDZ format in a product's media, and derives a USDZ version for iPhone. If you already have optimized 3D files and your theme displays 3D media, this built-in option may be enough, with no extra subscription.

The Visuality app becomes useful when you don't have 3D models yet (AI generation, scanning), when you want an augmented reality QR code for desktop visitors, or when you reuse the same objects elsewhere: share link, printed QR code, embed on another website or on a PrestaShop store.

Which Shopify themes are compatible?

The Visuality block is a theme app extension. According to Shopify's documentation, these extensions integrate with Online Store 2.0 themes, such as Dawn, which accept app blocks in the theme editor.

Is your store using an older “vintage” theme? You can paste the iframe code provided by Visuality into the product description to display the same viewer: the method is explained in our tutorial. Tutorial: add a 3D viewer to a Shopify product page

The app interface is available in French and English.

Who publishes the Visuality app?

Visuality is a French SaaS platform, published by Inside Learning, that lets businesses display their products in 3D and augmented reality on iPhone and Android, with no app to install, via a link, a QR code, an iframe embed or the Shopify and PrestaShop integrations.

The app was published on the Shopify App Store on May 21, 2026 by Inside Learning, a French software publisher based in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, in the Landes department. The same Visuality account also gives you access to the web viewer, shareable QR codes and the Android app with offline mode. See all features
