Generate a 3D model with AI
In short
Visuality turns a photo of your product into a 3D model with AI in a few minutes: simple generation from a front photo, or detailed generation from four views. Each generation costs 1 credit, taken from your plan's monthly allowance. The resulting model can be viewed in 3D and augmented reality, on iPhone and Android alike.
In the example above, the different models are generated from a single image, without prior modeling!
Prerequisites
- A Visuality account with a free object slot in your plan.
- At least 1 AI credit: from your monthly allowance or an extra credit pack.
- A front photo of the product (simple generation), or four photos: front, left, right and back (detailed generation).
Preparing the image
Recommended images
- ✅ A single object in the photo
- ✅ Object well centered and fully visible
- ✅ Simple / uncluttered background (ideally white or uniform, but not mandatory)
- ✅ Adequate but not excessive lighting
Images that may produce poor results
- ⚠️ Highly visible text in the photo (logo, label, sign, etc.)
- ⚠️ Multiple objects in the photo
- ⚠️ Complex / cluttered background (many elements behind the object)
- ⚠️ Object partially cropped or too small in the image
Steps: generating your 3D model
- In your 3D object library, click Add an Object, then My Object is Not Modeled and Convert a photo into a 3D object.
- Give your object a title and choose the mode: simple generation (1 photo) or detailed generation (4 photos).
- Upload your photos from your computer, or from your phone by scanning the QR code shown.
- Confirm: 1 credit is deducted and you return to your library. Generation takes a few minutes, then the object appears automatically.
- Adjust the object's size to match the real product, then share it by link, QR code or iframe.
Good to know and limitations
- The AI infers the sides it cannot see: with a single photo, the back and underside may differ from the real product. Detailed mode reduces this gap.
- Transparent or highly reflective objects, thin parts, and text or logos are the hardest to reproduce.
- The model does not automatically have the product's real size: set it before sharing the object.
- Monthly credits are topped up at each renewal and do not roll over; credits bought in packs are used after them.
- Each generated object counts towards your plan's object limit.
- For iPhone, a lighter USDZ version is generated automatically, even for very dense AI models.
Frequently asked questions
Usually a few minutes. After you submit the form, you return to your 3D object library, and the object appears there automatically as soon as generation is complete. You can keep working on your other objects in the meantime. Remember to set the object's real size before sharing it.
Each generation costs 1 credit, in simple and detailed mode alike. Credits are taken first from the monthly allowance included in your plan, then from any extra credit packs you have bought. The number of monthly credits in each plan is shown on the pricing page.
A front photo is enough for a quick preview of a simple object. For a product whose back or sides differ from the front, choose detailed generation with four views (front, left, right, back): the AI has less to invent and the result is often more accurate, for the same cost.
Try again with better photos: a single object, well centred, on a simple background, with soft lighting, or switch to detailed mode. For complex products, choose a photogrammetry scan or custom modelling instead, which Visuality offers on quotation through the contact form.
