Display several 3D objects at the same time in augmented reality
In short
To place several products side by side in the same room, bring them together in a group, then open that group in the Visuality Android app with its PIN code or its direct link. The web viewer, for its part, displays a group's objects one at a time, with a selector to switch between them.
Prerequisites
- A Visuality account with an active subscription or an ongoing free trial.
- The objects you want to present, already imported into your library.
- An Android 8.0 or later smartphone or tablet, with the Visuality app installed from Google Play.
Steps: build a scene with several objects
- Go to Group of objects and click Create a group.
- Enter a Title, select the objects to bring together, then click Validate.
- Click Share next to the group and find the Applicative Viewer (Android) section: it contains the download link, the direct link, its QR code and the group's PIN code.
- On the Android device, launch the app and enter the PIN code, or open the direct link.
- Choose an object from the list and place it, then repeat with the next ones: the objects already placed stay in the scene.
Good to know and limitations
- The web viewer (link, QR code, iframe) only displays one object at a time: the group gives access to all products through a selector, without simultaneous placement.
- There is no Visuality app for iPhone and iPad: on these devices, AR Quick Look displays one object at a time.
- Once opened in the app, the group remains available offline, provided it has been accessed within the last 30 days.
- Several heavy objects displayed together put more strain on the phone: test your scene on the device you will use for demos.
